 Oct. 9, 2002 --- STS-112 Commander Jeff Ashby and Pilot Pam Melroy work on Space Shuttle Atlantis' flight deck, preparing for the first of several jet thruster firings that will maneuver the shuttle to rendezvous and dock with the International Space Station.

 Oct. 9, 2002 --- In this video captured by an Expedition Five crewmember aboard the International Space Station, Space Shuttle Atlantis makes its approach to dock with the station. Clearly visible in the shuttle's payload bay is the S1 (S-One) Truss, which will be attached to the station during the mission.
